Terrence Williams continues to shine, making his case as the league's MVP as he scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and made 4 steals in the Louisville Runaway Win in Piscataway (Louisville Courier-Journal) over Rutgers, 78-59.
Louisville Routs Rutgers (NY Daily News) using an early 23-0 run to take command of the game with a 28-7 lead on their wat to a 40-20 lead at the half and the Scarlet Knights, dropping their seventh straight game, never challenged to streaking Cardinals.
Former New Jersey high school stars Earl Clark and Samardo Samuels each added 15 for UL and Edgar Sosa added 10 as Louisville Rolls over Rutgers (Asbury Park Press).
Freshmen Mike Rosario (21 points) and Greg Echenique (13 points), a high school teammate of Samuels, were the only Scarlet Knights to reach double-figures.
Louisville will visit Syracuse for a noon tip-off on Sunday at the Carrier Dome.
